Welcome. I’m Steve Jacobson, and this is The Spreading Love Project.
The Spreading Love Project exists to help us reconnect — myself included — with the part of ourselves we lose track of when life gets busy, the part that remembers the things that truly matter most: love, kindness, compassion, and true joy — and the quiet beauty of simply being alive.
At its heart, this project is about remembering what makes us human.
Through music, stories, reflection, and shared humanity, I hope to help us slow down, breathe a little deeper, and return to what truly matters.
Through original music — ranging from calm, heartfelt piano pieces to folk-inspired, singer-songwriter songs (think Cat Stevens, James Taylor) and psychedelic/atmospheric rock (think Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Radiohead, with even a touch of Guns N’ Roses and Led Zeppelin when I’m feeling bold) — along with storytelling (often inspired by animals and pets, who have so much to teach us), reflective videos, and deeply emotional journeys, I create experiences designed to:
- awaken the heart
- soothe the spirit
- spark compassion
- remind us of the goodness within us
- reconnect us with meaning
- open a quiet space inside where love can breathe again
This project began in 1994, after a powerful experience I had while meditating beside a pyramid on a mountain in Tepoztlán, Mexico. That moment awakened a sense of calling… a feeling that music could be something more than sound. Something that could touch the soul, remind us of who we are, and help spread love through the world.
I don’t pretend to fully understand that moment… only that it changed me. And ever since, I’ve followed it with my whole heart.
If any part of this resonates with you, you’re warmly invited to subscribe and join me on this journey. 🌱
Awaken the heart. Remember the soul. Spread the love.
